What is Amazon Career Choice?

Amazon's Career Choice program is an education benefit that empowers Amazon employees to learn new skills for career success at Amazon or elsewhere.

Amazon provides a variety of education and upskilling opportunities, including pre-paid college tuition, industry certifications designed to lead to in-demand jobs, and foundational skills such as English language, high school diplomas, and GEDs.

 

What programs can I take with IATA?

 

Our FAA approved training curriculum consists of three programs:

General, Airframe and Powerplant.

 

The General program provides you with the basis to develop your skills including: Aerodynamics, electricity, regulations, how to read drawings and schematics, basic physics and maintenance forms and records.

 

The Airframe program encompasses the body of the aircraft and its systems. Examples include Landing gear, inspections, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, sheet metal, aircraft instruments, electrical systems fire protection.

 

The Powerplant program focuses on aircraft propulsion systems including: turbine and piston engine repairs, inspections, fire protection systems, electrical systems, engine instruments and fuel systems.

 

At the conclusion of the programs, you will take FAA written and practical examinations and be awarded your certificate. For a full list of our courses,

• How do I apply?

1. International AeroTech has helped many Amazon associates register for  Aircraft Mechanic -Airframe and Powerplant Certification. If you have not already, be sure to fill out the interest form below. We will gladly contact you, answer your questions, and email your school application.

2. An in-person admissions meeting is required. Your registration documents will be reviewed and copied.  Curriculum and financing will be discussed.

3. If approved by the school, you will receive a Welcoming Acceptance Letter for the program. This letter has instructions and is required for you to be able to apply for Amazon Tuition Funding and/or Shift Accommodations. Follow the instructions in a timely manner to meet Amazon and school deadlines and criteria. Amazon then pays IATA directly.
